PTFE and PFA Lined Carbon Steel Eccentric Reducers

Eccentric reducers are made with a changing centerline for the bore, while one side remains parallel.

They’re produced with the primary aim of stopping air from accumulating in pipes, with the reducers used at the suction side of pumps. If air gradually accumulates in a concentric reducers, it could result in the formation of a large bubble that could cause the pump to stall. It could also cause cavitation when drawn into the pump, but with the flat side in the upper position this is avoided. Eccentric reducers can also be useful when the flat side is down, as this allows for the complete draining of pipelines preventing any liquid from pooling, something which can happen with concentric reducers in horizontal piping.

The dimensions below are to suit ASME 150 flanges.
